A convenience-feature of the Detailed Demographic Estimates is the inclusion of Thresholds and Ranges for current-year demographics.

So, you get more articulation in age ranges, income, education, household size and number of vehicles per household, AND you get time-saving summaries of ranges of interest PLUS increasing thresholds for:

  • Age
  • Householder ages
  • Household sizes
  • Owner household sizes
  • Renter household sizes
  • Household income
  • Family income
  • Nonfamily income

To get an example of what thresholds look like, here is an example of a series of thresholds of income for family households in Colorado:

You can quickly see the total number of family households above a given household income, by looking at these tables.

To examine the full list of thresholds, you can download an example threshold report (PDF)
